I went to art school at one point in my life,didn't graduate, but learned a lot. I just decided to put my work out there again since I started doing zentangles. It's helped me relax and just let me pen do the work while my mind is free. Thanks for giving my work a second look.

It's been awhile since I've been on the site. Between my son and myself having the stomach flu and than having a blizzard snow us in for two days,,it's been crazy. I haven't been drawing nearly as much as I used to. I feel a little rusty. I'm getting caught up on life right now but will be setting time aside to draw tonight. I have some new pieces I will be putting up later that I think you'll all like.

I noticed that since I signed up to this site I have been drawing more consciously. I've been venturing out of my comfort zone and getting such inspiration from all the artists on here. It has actually made me up my game after seeing such intricate beautiful work so many of you have done. I want to be able to add a new drawing every day. I have a ton of tangles done on the standard zentangle tiles but it would just take way to much time for me to take pics of all them. I am so glad my husband pushed me to get a page up and start showcasing my work. He watches me sit here every night and draw these tangles while the kids are playing xbox and i

You went to an art school? How was the experience, I want to know.
Yes that was 15 years ago but it was well worth it. I learned everything I would have wanted to learn. It was hard to wrap my head around being graded on a teachers critique. I was all about taking a critique when it was about the technical side of art but when you grading me based on your personal opinion as well is another story. I butted heads quite a bit about that. I didn't graduate due to other reasons but I wouldn't have changed a thing. If I hadn't learned everything I learned I wouldn't be able to create anything I do today. I went for textile and jewelry design and learned so much that in the end it was all worth it. You can't sculpt, weave, draw or anything without the basic techniques and fundamentals of each art. Once you learn the technique of all the art forms your into than its all creativity from that point on...Hope that helps. Are you thinking about going?
